Self care relates to the ways in which you take care of yourself. When self care is practiced, you are in a better position to be healthy (mentally and physically). You will also be able to take better care of others.
I enjoy being outdoors and connecting with my surroundings. Going for a walk or run gives me a chance to engage with nature and appreciate what God has created. I can also pray and listen to praise music along my journey. Walks, hikes and runs outside are some of the ways I put my self care in motion.
Self care can help with stress management and can strengthen your identity. By nurturing yourself, you are placed in a better position to nurture others as well.
