This workshop will explore Depression as well as Seasonal Affective Disorder and how such disorders affect Black communities. It will advise attendees on the symptoms, consequences, and treatments for depression while emphasizing strategies for healing and resilience and preventing depression. This workshop aims to discuss depression within the Black community in a safe space, with guiding critical questions that welcome various perspectives. From a strength-based perspective, the workshop also sheds light on solutions and healing techniques in order to foster empowerment and restoration.
